Michigan Corporate Bylaws Templates (5)

Michigan corporate bylaws need to be put in place by corporations to legally operate and conduct business. Michigan corporations will need to prepare documentation containing the officer and director roster, meeting protocols, financial overview, formal policies, and its status as a taxed entity to complete its bylaws.

Generally, Michigan corporations shall set their bylaws through a popular vote of its directors on the first official board meeting. This is encouraged since the sooner paperwork is executed the sooner a Michigan corporation can operate efficiently and legally.

Is it REQUIRED in Michigan?

Yes. Michigan corporations are obligated to institute an official set of bylaws to follow as per § 450.1231 of the Michigan Business Corporation Act.
